Hotel Rosslyn the second establishment by the Design Hotels group after Lánchíd 19 will welcome its first guests in autumn 2008.
The impressive building belonged once to the Budapest Freemason Society any many original design elements have been kept intact: like the frescos on the walls, the imposing facade and the Venetian floor tiles that add the hotel a mysterious, antique feeling.
Inside a minimalist, simple but elegant design have been created. But don't think the 70 rooms lack modern conveniences: wireless ineternet, TV, and DVD player.
In the tapas bar delicious snacks tempts guests to have a bite and you can also while away in the hotel's cafe. other amenities include a spa and a fully-equipped gym.

The nearby Chain Bridge (Lánchíd) inspired the owners when they decided on the hotel's name.

A Cafe and Restaurant on the gallery floor opens onto a garden terrace.

A large, historic hotel located on the busy Grand Boulevard (Nagykörút). Many attractions are within walking distance (State Opera House, Heroes’ Square, Parliament, St. Stephen’s Basilica). It’s ideal for those who love shopping because on Grand Boulevard you’ll find all sorts of shops, including the very popular mall, the West End City Centre. Towards the Opera you find several good, small restaurants cafés and pubs.
Public transport accessibility is also excellent, the two major tram lines (No. 4, and No. 6.) run along the Grand Boulevard and the blue and red metro stops are also very close (red metro line: Blaha Lujza tér, blue metro line: Nyugati Railway Station).
You’ll find the outside area very busy and noisy, but most of the rooms face a side street and are quiet. The hotel was opened in 1914, since than it’s been renovated and modernized several times, it was redecorated in 2005.

A modern, firts-class hotel in downtown Budapest, right off Andrássy Avenue. Altough it's in the city centre don't expect beautiful views from your room. I would stay in this hotel because of its excellent location. It's next to the State Opera House, and many other sights are within easy reach. The Opera station of the M1 metroline is just outside the hotel. |
Hotel K+K Opera has a welcoming atmosphere and distinctive Austrian quality standard. The staff is very helpful and spokes fluent English. The hotel has a small restaurant too.
Highly recommended for those who seek simple, high-quality, no-hassle place to stay in Budapest.

The Ramada Hotel is in a quiet part of Ferencváros district in Pest. Ferencváros is one of the most developing districts in Budapest. The financial and business center is close. |
Public transport connections are excellent. You can get to every major places of interests very quickly. The M3 metro station on Ferenc körút is close, trams No. 4 and 6 also have a stop on Ferenc körút. Ferihegy airport is easily accessible too.
The hotel's been renovated recently when the Marriott chain overtake it.
It has a good restaurant and a bistro which serves light meals too.
There are rooms for disabled travellers.
Starlight Suiten Hotel - Ideal for groups or families

Simple but elegant new 4 star Budapest Hotel near the Chain Bridge, in a quiet street. The Starlight Suiten Hotel offers North American style, spacious suites for less than the other nearby big hotels.
All major sights are within walking distance, public transport connections are very good. Tram No. 2 runs along the Pest side of the Danube, the M3 metro station on Deák tér is also close to the hotel.

It's a modern hotel with basic rooms, perhaps it offers a bit less than other 4 star Budapest hotels. It has a restaurant, though its average. For a romantic dinner go to the famous Gundel Restaurant in the City Park.

Be very careful about which room you are given if you stay at this Hotel. We had rooms on the fourth floor, 451 and 459, and they had not been renovated....
