Millennium Da Pippo

A small Italian restaurant on the corner of Andrassy and Rosza utca. Has the very best Italian pizza ( I recommend the pizza "Toni") and pasta. Interior is made like the yellow metro line that runs past it. Prices are very reasonable. A perfect place to stop for a meal on your way from the spa, or ice skating by Hero square.

Paprika Restaurant - H-1071, Dózsa György street 72
by John Hanson
(Nuneaton UK)
DON'T miss out on this restaurant if you are visiting Budapest! The restaurant boasts a varied imaginative menu offering very, yes VERY large portions of delicious fresh foods. Starters are often as large or even larger than one would expect for a main course. I was absolutely 'stuffed' and I can assure you that I have a very healthy appetite for a strapping 6ft plus male!
The 'icing in the cake' is that the staff are very warm, attentive and friendly. It's worth booking by phone as the Paprika is very popular, (They have there own website if you search on the internet.) Just make sure that you find the correct restaurant by checking the street address.
Prices for this delicious food and drink are ridiculously cheap by Budapest standards. Why don't we have restaurants offering this level of service in the U.K?
I would love to visit Budapest again if only to eat at this restaurant! Try it or lose out! It's wonderful!

Amazing fine restaurant in the beautiful castle district. Classical French dishes with a fresh approach. And they have the most beautiful romantic garden I've seen - ancient walls and ivy... highly recommended.

Close to the Basilica, in the center of town, this is a wonderful gem with great Hungarian food and impeccable service (English spoken). Excellent wine recommendations and fair prices. My wife and I had a great time. This was recommended to us by some USA friends.

TOMATO SALAD BAR, TEA AND COFFE HOUSE
by gorbycat

Ms tomato salad bar
At last a great salad bar in Budapest. Hungarians know how to cook traditional carb laden food, there's nobody better, but once you've had your fill a sausage, goulash or stuffed cabbage, it's hard to find good healthy food.
At Tomato Salad Bar you can get fresh ingredients, either let the staff choose for you or create your own unique salad, wrap or sandwich just how you like it with all your favourite ingredients.
They also serve the best coffee in town. Tomato Salad Bar is situated on the corner of Veres Palne utca 33 and Szarka utca, just off Vaci Street.

Cafe Kor was sensational.
This place is great if you want to step off the tourist circuit, without traveling to the middle of nowhere, in order to have a good meal.
The food is surprisingly delicious, very affordable.
The service is also very accomodating.
