Hotel Baross *** A good value hotel with convenient central location and with very good transportation access. M2 (red) metro line has a stop just opposite the hotel at Keleti Railway Station. Metro station is just a short walk. Some tourists have complained about the thin walls, and the traffic noise in rooms facing Heroes' Square however it can be a good accommodationi f for 1-2 days. Staff is friendly according to former guests of the hotel. Hotel City Inn *** A fairy new, modern hotel in downtown Budapest with courtyard and air-conditioned rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. The West Balkán one of budapest trendiest bars is accross the street. City Hotel Pilvax *** Hidden in a quiet side street in the very heart of Budapest, just off the famous pedestrian shopping street, Váci Street. Many upscale restaurants and cafés flourish in the neighbourhood though the hotel has its own great restaurant with good food and fine Hungarian wines. The hotel is owned the Taverna group just like City Hotel Mátyás and City Hotel Ring or Hotel Taverna in Váci utca. Take a walk on the Danube embankment at night and enjoy the breathtaking view of illuminated Budapest.
Excellent location with the major sights of the city within walking distance: Danube, Castle District, Váci Street. Generous buffet breakfast in the famous Mátyás pince restaurant. Perfect for short breaks due to the proximity of attractions.
A good, reliable budget hotel in Budapest in Buda. Excellent bufeet breakfast. The hotel has a nice resturant too (János Étterem) serving Hungarian specialities and fine Hungarian wines. Moszkva tér is just a short walk and from there you can walk up to Castle district or take the Castle bus. Mammut Shopping Mall is also on Moszkva tér with lots of designer shops, cafés.
A very good-value hotel in central Budapest just off the Deák tér transportation hub. They serve hearty breakfast. One drawback is that the internet access is not free.

Nearby attractions include the Duna Plaza Shopping Mall. The hotel has a conference room with modern audio-visual equipment.
A cosy hotel within historic setting and with picturesque views from its rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned that's is very good during scorching summer days. If you stay in Castle District you have the advantage of exploring the area even after most of the tourists left. The district has some nice restaurants, cafés, romantic walkways and some great programs during the summer season.

Since the majority of the following budget hotels are in outer districts of Budapest, you have to walk a bit more to find a bus stop or a metro station, or have to change a couple of times to get to downtown. Hotel Molnár Pension *** Consists of two neighbouring buildings within green, hilly surroundings. It has a resaturant with a garden terrace. A small playground is in the well-kept park for the little ones' enetertainment. Ask for a room with balcony (no extra charge) if you want enjoy the stunning panorama of the Buda Hills.
Gold Hotel Pension *** A hotel with relaxing atmosphere near the City Park. If you want real peace and quiet and at the same time good public transport connection to the city center than stay at this hotel.

Located half-way between Budapest Airport and the city center in a quiet residential area. There's a fishing lake next to the hotel.
