Finding Japanese restaurants in Budapest isn't as difficult as it was a couple of years ago.
Now you'll find more than a dozen eateries specializing in Japanese and/or Pan-Asian cuisine.
To tell you the truth I'm not a fan of raw fish so I can't honestly tell you which place makes the best sushi in Budapest but if you want to tell us and others about your sushi expereinces in Budapest don't hesitate to do so.

A small, hidden place in the city centre that has a sushi bar and a tempura bar. According to sushi-lovers Papaya sells the best sushi in Budapest. This isn't a sleek restaurant but the Japanese-born chef is talented and the owners play emphasis on the quality of food instead of glitzy interior design.

A new Japanese place (opened in 2008) with magnificent view of the Buda Castle. A very pleasant restaurant, professional service and great food. Regarding the location Kyoto is rather expensive but sushi fans should try it anyway.

The restaurant has a rickshaw service so you don't have to worry about driving, authentic japanese will pick you up at your home and take you back after the dinner.
