You can discover the flavours of Hungarian cuisine during the Wine and Gastro Days in Budapest. 20 Budapest restaurants participate in the event organised by the Hungarian national Tourism Office. Grab the opportunity to taste and learn about the rich flavours of Hungarian Cuisine. You'll find out that the country's gastronomy has more to offer than gulyás or chicken paprikás. Music and fine Hungarian wines make a dinner during these 10 days a memorable event. Restaurants Participating in the Wine and Gastro Days in Budapest:A 38 Ship & Restaurant - “Fish, Game, Wine and Music! In the restaurant of the A38 ship you can taste the flavours of the Gemenc region, a unique forest along the Danube, near Baja city.
Alabárdos Restaurant - "Authentic Flavours of Hungary-Tuned to Wines" Taste authentic Hungarian dishes from the era when paprika had not yet been used in the country's gastronomy.
Biarritz Restaurant - "Autumn in Biarritz" Say farewell to the summer in Biarritz: food and wine presentations introducing the major regions of Hungary.
Central Cafe - "Traditional Hungarian Cuisine Today " Centrál resurrects the coffee house atmosphere of the 1930-ies and 1940-ies. Try the snacks from the "Writers's Plate" menu: egg mayonnaise, ham roll with a horse raddish creme filling. Do not leave without trying the mouthwatering Hungarian desserts: Rigó Jancsi with rich chocolate cream or the Dobos cake, layers of sponge with chocolate cream and a caramell coating.
